 Sure, XRP is green on the weekly chart, but let’s not think this candle is rewriting the price narrative – it’s more like a small fish frolicking in a giant red tank. Prices are currently bouncing off the lows of $2.32 to around $2.49, but the chart offers no comfort as the move occurred deep in the lower half of the Bollinger Bands, far from an area where bulls feel safe. For those unfamiliar, Bollinger Bands not only show volatility but bias, either bullish or bearish, and now, XRP is gearing up to take the latter.  The surge on October 10, the infamous “Black Friday” in the cryptocurrency market, sent prices down to the mid-to-lower range and left the coin vulnerable to a bear market. Even with such a small bounce, XRP is still struggling below the crucial moving average near $2.54. As long as the price K-line continues to accumulate below this line, the market will not be able to show strong momentum, but may instead experience a dangerous "dead cat" rebound. Context The Daily View highlights the same points for XRP price. Every attempt to push the price higher has been met with sell-offs, while the lower Bollinger Bands around $2.09 have not disappeared as a control point target. Some might call it recovery, but they're missing the context: You're not going to climb out of a hole just because you moved a few steps from the bottom, especially when the rope you need—in this case, a clean break of the middle strap—hasn't even been properly touched. So, XRP did technically rise this week. However, when the weekly chart shows no movement within the lower band until the middle band is reclaimed and held, it's not so much a bounce but bullish sentiment trying to take control as the chart slopes downwards. The next market trend is particularly critical. The door to the altcoin era has opened, and the opportunity is fleeting!
