 XRP price started a fresh decline below the $3.00 area. The price is currently showing bearish signs and could sink further below the $2.880 area.

The low was formed near support at $2.880, with the price now consolidating losses well below the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level of the recent swing high from $3.138 to $2.880 low. The price is currently below $3.00 and the 100 hourly simple moving average. Additionally, there is a bearish trend line forming with resistance at $2.980 on the hourly chart of the XRP/USD pair. If the bulls hold the $2.880 support, the price may rise again.  On the upside, the price may face resistance near $2.950. The first major resistance level is near $3.00 and the trend line. If the price clearly breaks above the $3.00 resistance, a drop towards the $3.080 resistance is possible, which is the 76.4% Fibonacci retracement level of the recent swing high from $3.138 to $2.880 low. If the price continues to rise, a drop towards the $3.120 resistance is possible. The next major resistance level for bulls is likely to be near $3.150. More disadvantages?If XRP fails to break above the $3.00 resistance, the decline is likely to continue. Initial support on the downside is near $2.880. The next major support is near $2.80. If there is a downside breakout and a close below $2.80, the price could continue its decline to $2.740. The next major support is near $2.650, below which the price is likely to gain bearish momentum.
