Text: Yu Haoyu In the past few months, BNB’s rise has been outstanding in the currency circle. A few months ago, it was still worth a few hundred dollars. In September, it reached 1,000 U, and it fluctuated at a high level above 1,000 U for a long time. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao said when BNB exceeded 1,000U, “This is just the beginning. ” ![]() Today, October 6, BNB has broken through a new high and reached $1,200. Many people thought it was just an exchange currency, including me half a year ago. Later, its rise was too conspicuous. What the hell? I did some research and found that it is not just "Binance Coin", but an independent public chain with its own ecology and is booming. I immediately decided to buy it and started placing my bets. Why can BNB rise? On the one hand, this is because the Binance exchange is large and has many users around the world. BNB has a built-in deflation mechanism. Every quarter, Binance will destroy a portion of BNB (approximately 1.4 million BNB was destroyed in the most recent quarter). The supply will become smaller and smaller. As demand increases, the price will naturally rise. More importantly, it has become an ecological chain, with more and more projects on the chain and more and more assets, forming a positive cycle. You can think of BNB as "another version of Ethereum". It is not just a fee discount, not just a currency issued by an exchange, but a real public chain. The most famous BNB ecosystem is BSC Chain (BNB Smart Chain). There are a large number of DeFi, GameFi, and NFT projects on this chain. One key thing that makes it stand out: it's cheap. Transfers are cheap and deployment is cheap. Many small projects dare not go directly to Ethereum to burn gas fees, so they chose BSC. As a result, BSC has become a paradise for grassroots projects, with high user activity and frequent transactions. BNB is still adding value, such as Greenfield, which is a decentralized storage network developed by BNB. Simply understood, it is the "network disk + storage" on the chain. In the traditional Internet, data is in the hands of large companies, and your photos, videos, and files are all stored on centralized servers. What BNB wants to do is that the data is stored in a decentralized network, and you have the right to access it yourself. This can not only be linked with BSC, but also become an important infrastructure for future Web3 applications. Another example is opBNB, which is the second-layer expansion solution of BNB. Ethereum has launched L2, and Arbitrum and Optimism have become popular. BNB has also launched its own L2. The purpose of opBNB is to further reduce costs, increase speed, and make it easier for developers and users to use it. Some people may say that BNB is centralized and has Binance behind it. It is indeed closely related to Binance, which is also the difference between it and Ethereum. It is precisely because of Binance’s traffic and resources that BNB has huge natural advantages. Binance has the largest number of retail investors in the world, a huge amount of capital inflows, and access to global markets. BNB can take care of all this. In other words, there is no need to worry about no one using BNB’s ecosystem, because the exchange is the biggest entrance. Moreover, BNB has another advantage: its positioning is very clear. Ethereum pursues decentralization, take your time and be cautious ; BNB pursues speed and directly promotes implementation. If you want to issue coins, develop projects, and play GameFi, BNB provides you with ready-made venues, cheap fees, and ready-made traffic. For many developers, this is the most practical attraction. The daily active users of BSC (Binance Chain) are stable at one million levels all year round, and the transaction volume is often ranked at the forefront of public chains. Many novices often start with BSC for the first time when they come into contact with on-chain transactions. Because one transfer can be completed with 0.1 US dollars, it is very friendly to new users. Some people like to compare BNB and ETH. ETH is a global infrastructure that emphasizes decentralization, stability and security. BNB is more like a rapidly iterative business platform with a strong operating team behind it that dares to take risks and implement. The advantage of ETH is "credibility", and the advantage of BNB is "efficiency and resources". If you think of them as competing relationships, it might seem like either/or. But if you look at it from another angle, they are more like two parallel tracks. ETH is laying down basic standards, and BNB is grabbing market users. From the perspective of the overall environment, governments and institutions in the United States and Europe have gradually begun to accept and even actively participate in blockchain. The U.S. government signed an executive order this year to establish a national crypto-asset reserve, directly incorporating Bitcoin and other assets into fiscal reserves, and promoting the influx of institutional funds into public chains. The European Central Bank predicts that after the MiCA regulations are implemented, the supply of stablecoins will surge from US$230 billion in 2025 to US$2 trillion in 2028. (MiCA is the EU’s new cryptocurrency regulation, which will take effect in June 2023 and governs stablecoin issuance, trading rules, etc. ) In terms of RWA, the total amount of global RWA tokenized assets has exceeded US$9 billion in 2024, and is expected to exceed US$1 trillion in 2030. Mainly treasury bonds, US dollar funds, and gold, some large American institutions, such as BlackRock and Fidelity, have already entered the market. These businesses all require public chains to carry them. Ethereum is the first choice, and BNB is also diversion. Many users in emerging markets, such as Southeast Asia and Africa, prefer to use BNB because it is cheap and fast. These markets will become important additions to the blockchain in the next decade. I think there is a high probability that BNB has the ambition to surpass Solana and even surpass Ethereum. Just like Android and Apple, Apple is high-end and Android is popular. As a result, Android wins the majority of users. However, what the future development will be depends on the competition in the market. Personally, I am optimistic about ETH, BNB, and SOL in the long term. Recently, Bitcoin broke a new high of 125,000 and started the "uptober" (uptober is a popular saying in the currency circle, which is the October rising season after each BTC four-year halving cycle). It may continue to rise in the future, and you can take profits appropriately. If you have a long-term bullish coin, remember to keep a bottom position. ![]() In 2025, I sold my house and started investing overseas If a house goes up, it’s an asset, if it goes down, it’s a liability: the rules of the property market are being rewritten The ETH I bought doubled, but I’m not going to sell it Understand Bitcoin in one article: It has crossed the consensus critical point Briefly talk about cryptocurrency and blockchain Let’s talk about how far blockchain/cryptocurrency will develop in 2025 Personal WeChat: taikong12345 ![]() (Click "Read the original text" at the bottom of the page to enter the 10-year-old Ami honey store.
